“Fish for breakfast? Why not?” Actually I can think of a few reasons, especially after glancing at these fishy offerings in glorious Technicolor. So begins this collection of recipes from I’m guessing the 1950’s. And since it’s offered to you by the U.S. Department of the Interior you KNOW the recipes are gonna be yummy. Uh, right.

Recipes include Breakfast Perch (which made me picture myself grumpy with coffee on a kitchen stool), Clam-Corn Griddle Cakes w/Cran-Applesauce (BLECH!), French Toast Salmon Sandwich, Tuna-Tomato Rarebit, and Sesame Smelt. Mmmmm…..

The Peach Scallops don’t look half bad. They just look raw. And slimy. And maybe a little rotten. I’d say “Perfect for your next Mad-Men-themed brunch!” but you might sue me. Instead, it’s perfect for a laugh. Or when you’re feeling particularly adventurous.

Condition: Good. One tear on an inside corner, some wear of the ink on back cover. Light staining on the cover and inside page…which means someone actually used this! ;D Pricing based on its rarity.
