Chocolate. Got your attention, right? Back in the 60’s, they loved the stuff just as much as we do. Maybe more. This collection by the Culinary Arts Institute is chock full of cakes, cookies, pies, brownies, puddings, just about everything chocolate you can think of.
This book is so chocolatey there’s even an a “Chocolate Supreme” poem in the Table of Contents! Kewl. Sections include: Cakes, Frostings and Fillings, Cookies, Pies, Desserts, Toppers and Sauces, Beverages, and Candies.
Nothing too weird or strange here, just tons of chocolate goodness. Well, I suppose the dancing devils decorating the Featherlight Chocolate Cake is a little creepy. And the ACTUAL, LIVE, FROM THE GARDEN daisies on the Flower Garden Chocolate Cake are a tad much. I imagine them wilting in the sun at Aunt Tutty’s garden party, petals browning at the edges and ruining everything. What a shame.
